Front of House Administrator

This is a rewarding permanent position for a Front of House Administrator within a supportive educational environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and staff, greeting and assisting with enquiries face-to-face and via telephone.
  • Manage reception duties including check-in procedures, offering refreshments, and responding to internal and external enquiries.
  • Maintain and coordinate school and calendars, including room bookings and informing staff of scheduled events.
  • Support pupil/learner transitions by liaising with staff and transport providers to ensure safe arrivals and departures.
  • Record pupil attendance accurately using the internal system and support break and lunch arrangements, including preparation and tidying of lunch areas.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, deliveries, and manage email inboxes efficiently.
  • Provide administrative support such as photocopying, filing, and assisting staff and management with various tasks.
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding processes for new starters and leavers, including equipment and access curation.
  • Manage petty cash, order stationery and supplies, and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as a first aider and fire warden, responding to medical needs and emergency procedures as required.
  • Undertake additional tasks during school closures or as directed by the Administration Manager.

About you:

  • Experience in a front-facing customer service or reception role, ideally within an educational or similar environment.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, with excellent organisational skills.
  • A warm, courteous, and professional manner, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, flexibility, and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and visitors.

What’s on offer:

  • An annual salary of £24,785.
  • Standard full-time hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
