Tenders & Bids Team Leader

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, support, and develop a small team of Tender & Bid Specialists and Administrators, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end tender and bid processes, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural standards
  • Champion ESG, sustainability, and social value initiatives within tender submissions, aligning them with current market and regulatory expectations
  • Monitor team performance through metrics, generating reports to inform strategic decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and address performance gaps effectively
  • Coordinate tender and bid submissions, aligning internal stakeholders and external partners for timely and high-quality results
  • Consolidate commercial, financial, and technical inputs for tenders, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Support sales reporting related to tender activities and manage ad hoc tender or contractual tasks as required

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in business, science, or economics
  • Must have previous experience in tender and bid management, preferably within healthcare or NHS procurement
  • Previous leadership experience or a senior specialist with first leadership exposure
  • Excellent understanding of healthcare tender processes, with a focus on process optimisation
  • Proven ability to manage complex tender projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office applications; knowledge of SharePoint and Power BI is advantageous
  • Results-driven with a collaborative approach and a keen eye for detail

What’s on offer:

  • Base salary between GBP £50,000 and £59,000
