HR Administrator

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including advertising roles, managing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Support safer recruitment procedures, including pre-employment checks such as references, DBS, and Right to Work verification.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, preparing induction materials and ensuring compliance documentation is complete.
  • Administer performance review processes, probation periods, and staff documentation updates.
  • Maintain and support HR systems, inputting and updating data, managing holiday administration, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Help uphold regulatory standards through record-keeping, including safeguarding and the Single Central Record.
  • Draft contractual documentation for changes in employment status, hours, and pay, ensuring payroll accuracy.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration, working closely with finance teams.
  • Assist with offboarding procedures and leaver administration, ensuring smooth transition processes.
  • Handle routine employee queries, offering a professional and helpful service.
  • Contribute to HR projects, including wellbeing initiatives, policy updates, and system implementations.

About you:

  • Proven experience in HR administration, ideally within an educational or similar environment.
  • Available for an immediate start or on a short notice period.
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of UK employment practices, safeguarding, and safer recruitment is advantageous.
  • Approachable, professional, and dependable with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
