Vehicle Purchasing and Operations Executive

Key responsibilities: -

Proactively source and purchase vehicles by engaging with motor dealers, traders, and suppliers - Negotiate purchase prices and terms to optimise margins and value - Verify vehicle history and documentation, including V5, HPI, and VAT checks, prior to purchase -

Accurately record all transactions and updates in the CRM system - Oversee all purchase-related paperwork, ensuring compliance and accuracy from offer through to completion - Coordinate with logistics and external transport providers for timely vehicle collection and delivery -

Manage invoices, credit notes, and supplier payments, ensuring financial accuracy - Reconcile bills, facilitate customer invoicing, and maintain detailed financial records - Support the financial team with bank reconciliation and purchase documentation -

As the department expands, oversee junior administrative staff and provide training on processes and systems

About you: - Proven experience in the motor trade, particularly in vehicle buying, remarketing, or wholesale operations - Strong commercial awareness with confident negotiation skills - Excellent attention to detail when managing documentation and transactional data -

Ability to manage multiple deals efficiently in a fast-paced environment -

Proficient in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and administrative tools - Professional and engaging communicator who can handle daily phone interactions comfortably -

Financially astute with understanding of invoicing, billing, and reconciliation processes - Organised, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities - Calm under pressure with strong multitasking capabilities - Personable, relationship-builder with a high level of integrity and accountability
