Part Time HR & Compliance Manager

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, managing recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and exits.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in accordance with UK employment law.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, absence management, disciplinary, and grievance procedures.
  • Handle confidential personnel data, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate insurance policies, including claims handling and insurer relationships.
  • Manage the company vehicle fleet, including maintenance, MOTs, compliance, and driver record keeping.
  • Administer employee health schemes, wellbeing initiatives, and benefits packages, fostering a healthy workplace culture.
  • Maintain and develop ISO standards relevant to the organisation, leading internal audits and external certification processes.
  • Serve as the organisation’s competent person for Health & Safety, conducting risk assessments and workplace inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, delivering training and maintaining policies.
  • Manage operational compliance and governance frameworks, liaising with regulatory bodies and auditors.

About you: 

  • Proven experience in a blended HR, H&S, or compliance role within a manufacturing or similar environment. 
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and best HR practices.
  • Experience managing ISO standards and external audits. 
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification preferred; CIPD Level 5 or above desirable. 
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Capable of working independently with high attention to detail.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement across all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and a solution-oriented approach.
