Key responsibilities:
- Provide timely advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of HR matters, ensuring best practice and legislative compliance.
- Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, records management, and leaver processes.
- Support payroll input, accuracy, and timely submission, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
- Assist with absence management and promote staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, supporting audit readiness and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and team efficiency.
- Support pre-employment checks and Safer Recruitment practices, ensuring all statutory and safeguarding standards are met.
- Foster a positive employee experience through effective communication and HR service delivery.
About you:
- Experience in generalist HR or administration within a social care, education, or third sector environment is desirable.
- Strong communicator capable of building trust across all management levels.
- Organised with excellent administration skills and high attention to detail.
- Proactive team player with a positive, can-do approach and willingness to support colleagues.
- Numerate with a good understanding of payroll and HR data management.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant HR certification would be advantageous.
- Demonstrates a person-centred approach with commitment to high standards and legal compliance.
