Key responsibilities:

  • Provide timely advice and support to managers and staff on a broad range of HR matters, ensuring best practice and legislative compliance.
  • Coordinate and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, records management, and leaver processes.
  • Support payroll input, accuracy, and timely submission, ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
  • Assist with absence management and promote staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, supporting audit readiness and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and team efficiency.
  • Support pre-employment checks and Safer Recruitment practices, ensuring all statutory and safeguarding standards are met.
  • Foster a positive employee experience through effective communication and HR service delivery.

About you:

  • Experience in generalist HR or administration within a social care, education, or third sector environment is desirable.
  • Strong communicator capable of building trust across all management levels.
  • Organised with excellent administration skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proactive team player with a positive, can-do approach and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Numerate with a good understanding of payroll and HR data management.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent relevant HR certification would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a person-centred approach with commitment to high standards and legal compliance.
